DESCRIPTION:Venue: online via MS Teamsface-to-face at MIFJC BrusselsIrene and Frederic Joliot-Curie House100 Rue du Throne\, 1050 Brussels\, Belgium \n\n\n\n\nMore information\n\n\n\nRegistration\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThanks to an intensive involvement of RICAIP partner DFKI\, we are pleased to invite you to a dedicated expert workshop on “ADR Research for European Manufacturing Sector’s Resilience” held in hybrid  form on 5 February under the coordination of DFKI\, organised by the European AI\, Data and Robotics Association (ADRA)\, in collaboration with the Horizon Europe project Adra-e.This workshop is part of a series preparing for the European Convergence Summit 2025 (ECS2025)\, a major event aimed at shaping the future of Artificial Intelligence\, Data\, and Robotics (ADR) research in Europe\, with a focus on resilience and competitiveness during crises. \n\n\n\nEuropean AI\, Data and Robotics Association (ADRA) and Horizon Europe project adra-e organise the European Convergence Summit 2025 (ECS2025) as the full-blown face-to-face event in Brussels on April 09\, 2025.  \n\n\n\n\n\nIn order to prepare the policy-level dialogue\, Adra-e organises the series of expert workshops on February 5-6\, 2025\, will be held to collect the community opinions about future research directions relevant to the topic of Resilience\, policy-level challenges and enablers influencing the ARD research landscape. Each workshop will take half a day (not more than 3 hours) covering the following 4 themes: \n\n\n\n\nDefense\n\n\n\nEurope’s resilience in Manufacturing\n\n\n\nEurope’s resilience in Health\n\n\n\nCivil protection\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe ECS is a high-level event that aims to bring together influential figures from various backgrounds to support co-programming of the Artificial Intelligence\, Data and Robotics (ADR) European partnership\, define orientations for ADR research and innovation in Europe with respect to socioeconomic issues\, and build a consensus among stakeholders. ECS2025 will be focused on how ARD technologies can support and enable the Europe’s resilience and competitiveness in various crisis situations. \n\n\n\n\n\nRegistered online participants will receive an MS Teams invitation on February 3. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAgenda of the workshop\n\n\n\n16:00–16:15 Conclusions and wrap-up \n\n\n\n13:30–13:35 Introduction and workshop objectives – Andrey Girenko\, DFKI \n\n\n\n13:35–14:10 Case studies: \n\n\n\n\nResilient supply chains for Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) – RAASCEMAN case\, Andrey Girenko\, DFKI\n\n\n\n\n\nMaaS supply chain predictive twin for critical materials – MaaSiveTwin case\, Michael Hess\, Battronics\n\n\n\n\n\nForesight for European Manufacturing’s twin transition until 2040 – MASTT2040 case\, Haydn Thompson\, Thhink\n\n\n\n\n14:10–15:00 SWOT analysis: Resilience and Competitiveness in Manufacturing ADR Research \n\n\n\n15:00–15:10 Coffee break \n\n\n\n15:10–16:00 Brainstorming: European ADR research strategy for Manufacturing \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe conclusions of these workshops will be presented at the European Convergence Summit on 9 April in Brussels at Concert Noble\, Rue d’Arlon 82\, 1040 Bruxelles\, Belgium.
