DESCRIPTION:RICAIP is proud to support Week for a Digital Czechia via event Digital week with EDIH CTU\, organized by EDIH CTU\, taking place from 8 to 12 September 2025 at the RICAIP Testbed Prague (CIIRC CTU). This series of morning discussions will explore how AI and digital technologies are shaping Czech cities\, companies\, hospitals\, and public services. Among them are Karla Štěpánová and Václav Hlaváč from CIIRC CTU\, as well as Pavel Burget\, Director of the RICAIP Testbed Prague\, who will contribute to Thursday’s session on robotics and regulation. Friday’s programme will highlight the importance of partnerships for digital transformation with contributions from Ondřej Beránek (AI-MATTERS)\, Barbora Zochová (EDIH CTU) and Robert Keil (NCP 4.0). These contributions reflect the mission of RICAIP to advance robotics\, AI and digital innovation in close cooperation with both industry and public institutions. \n\n\n\nThe sessions will be moderated by science and technology popularizer Sara Polak. Events will be held in a hybrid format – participants can join either in person at the RICAIP Testbed Prague (prior registration needed) or online. We will also involve you – viewers will become active participants! \n\n\n\nSara Polak will guide you through the program\, focusing on various topics related to the implementation of artificial intelligence in small and medium-sized enterprises and the public sector in interviews with invited guests. \n\n\n\nThursday’s topic will be robotics using artificial intelligence. Everyone can try out DeepFakes for themselves. \n\n\n\nCoffee break \n\n\n\nBLOCK II (6:30-8:00 p.m.)\n\n\n\nWhat about women and AI? – Monika Ptáčníková (co-founder of Czechitas) \n\n\n\nWhat challenges do women face\, and how do they adapt to new technologies? What opportunities can they use to expand their knowledge\, whether they are on maternity leave or thinking about a career change? The co-founder of Czechitas\, a platform for IT education for women\, will share her insights. \n\n\n\nAI Ethics – Luděk Buchta (CEITEC BUT) \n\n\n\nThe ethics of artificial intelligence is a field whose importance continues to grow. Although new technologies are mostly under human supervision\, in some specific areas\, machines have already surpassed human capabilities\, and their autonomy will continue to expand in the future. AI ethics focuses on ensuring that the development and use of artificial intelligence are beneficial to society as a whole. We will also discuss legislation and European regulation\, the AI Act. \n\n\n\nConclusion\, networking \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe inspiring afternoon will also include tours of the Industry 4.0 laboratory – RICAIP Testbed Brno\, operated by CEITEC BUT\, which will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
