SUMMARY:D.A.R. Continuum: Conference on Data\, AI\, Automation\, and Robotization
DESCRIPTION:Location: CIIRC CTU\, Jugoslávských partyzánů 1580/3\, 160 00 Prague 6 – DejviceDate: April 29\, 2026\, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. \n\n\n\nStakeholders and target audience: researchers\, R&D stuff\, policymakers\, funders\, and interested members of the publicLanguage: EnglishContact: Michal Trčka (the event coordinator) | michal.trcka@jh-inst.cas.cz | +420 775 112 135 \n\n\n\n\nRegistration form\n\n\n\nMore information\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe event aims to explore the continuum between open and FAIR data\, the automation and robotization of processes\, and artificial intelligence\, highlighting how these domains mutually shape one another. This process is accelerated as data infrastructures evolve into algorithmic intelligence and materialize into autonomous and robotic systems operating within human social environments. The event will bring together researchers\, R&D staff\, policymakers\, funders\, and interested members of the public to engage in interdisciplinary dialogue on these developments. Particular attention will be devoted to how AI-based technologies are reshaping knowledge production\, governance\, and responsibility in the age of data sharing (open science) and autonomous systems (e.g.\, self-driving laboratories). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn particular\, the conference highlights RICAIP’s contributions to autonomous systems in research infrastructures. Tilman Becker\, Director of RICAIP\, will present how advanced robotic and AI-enabled laboratories are reshaping research workflows\, emphasizing the interplay between data infrastructures\, automation\, and AI-driven experimentation. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe event is organized by the OP JAK AMULET project\, The Czech Academy of Sciences\, CIIRC CTU\, with the support of the RICAIP\, ROBOPROX\, and ELLIOT projects\, under the auspices of the Academic Council of the Czech Academy of Sciences and with the patronage of the President of the CAS and in cooperation with The AI: Artificial Intelligence for Science and Society programme\, ACADEMIX\, TAH – Centre for Innovations in Technology\, Art\, and Humanities and the Open Science Department—Library of the CAS  Media partners are The Vědavýzkum.cz portal\, the Vesmír magazine\, Academix revue.Social context of developing technologies \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAgenda\n\n\n\n8:30–9:00Participant registration & Welcome Coffee9:00–9:20Opening & Welcome RemarksRepresentative of the Scientific Council of the CAS and Vladimír Mařík (CIIRC CTU)9:20–10:45Science for AI and AI for ScienceDiscussion with Martin Víta (CAS)\, Jan Šedivý (CIIRC CTU)\, Barbara Zitová (Charles University).[We will add more guests soon.]10:45–11:15Coffee Break11:15–12:30The Continuum Linking Data\, AI\, and Autonomous SystemsShort presentations & discussion moderated by Alena Nováková (CIIRC CTU):Tilman Becker – RICAIP (CIIRC)Zdeněk Hanzálek – OP JAK ROBOPROX (CIIRC CTU)Petr Kadera – Intelligent Systems Department (CIIRC CTU)Vladimír Petrik – ELLIOT project (CIIRC CTU)12:30–13:30Lunch13:30–15:30From Research Labs and Offices to Semantic Web and Self-Driving SystemsKeynote speakers: Patrick Lambrix (Uni Linkoping)\, Maciej Haranczyk (IMDEA Madrid)Panel discussion chaired by Marek Cebecauer\, including keynote speakers and:Michal Tarana (HIPC) – From lab desk to the repository – and Knowledge GraphsJan Kočí (TUL) – FAIR Data for industryJakub Klímek (UK) – Semantic puzzle for 21. century15:30–16:00Coffee Break16:00–17:20Responsible Research and Data Production in the Age of AIDiscussion moderated by Tereza Stöckelová (CAS):Lukáš Kačena (Government Commissioner for Artificial Intelligence – Czech Republic\, prg.ai)\,Michaela Liegertová (UJEP & TAH)\, Jan Zeman (Vice-Rector for Science\, Research and Doctoral Studies CTU)\, Jaroslav Anděl (curator\, conceptual artist)[We will add more guests soon.]17:20–17:30 Closing RemarksPatrik Španěl (CAS) and Ondřej Velek (CIIRC CTU)17:30–20:00Networking ReceptionA selection from Jaroslav Anděl’s exhibition AI & PREDECESSORS – Between Facts and Values will be installed on site.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPartners
