Among them are Karla Štěpánová and Václav Hlaváč from CIIRC CTU\, as well as Pavel Burget\, Director of the RICAIP Testbed Prague\, who will contribute to Thursday’s session on robotics and regulation. Friday’s programme will highlight the importance of partnerships for digital transformation with contributions from Ondřej Beránek (AI-MATTERS)\, Barbora Zochová (EDIH CTU) and Robert Keil (NCP 4.0). These contributions reflect the mission of RICAIP to advance robotics\, AI and digital innovation in close cooperation with both industry and public institutions. \n\n\n\nThe sessions will be moderated by science and technology popularizer Sara Polak. The co-founder of Czechitas\, a platform for IT education for women\, will share her insights. \n\n\n\nAI Ethics – Luděk Buchta (CEITEC BUT) \n\n\n\nThe ethics of artificial intelligence is a field whose importance continues to grow. Although new technologies are mostly under human supervision\, in some specific areas\, machines have already surpassed human capabilities\, and their autonomy will continue to expand in the future. AI ethics focuses on ensuring that the development and use of artificial intelligence are beneficial to society as a whole. We will also discuss legislation and European regulation\, the AI Act. \n\n\n\nConclusion\, networking \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe inspiring afternoon will also include tours of the Industry 4.0 laboratory – RICAIP Testbed Brno\, operated by CEITEC BUT\, which will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

As part of the popular Researchers’ Night\, we will showcase the latest in automation\, robotics\, industrial digitalization\, and creative technologies. This year’s theme is WEALTH – and we see it as the wealth of ideas\, skills\, and technologies that are transforming the world around us. We invite children\, parents\, students\, and tech enthusiasts to join us for a rich program held in the RICAIP Testbed Prague and the adjacent atrium of CIIRC. \n\n\n\n\nOfficial Event Webiste\n\n\n\nProgramme at CIIRC CTU\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nExplore what you can see and try this year at RICAIP Testbed Prague?\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAR Drawing with HoloLens 2\n3D drawing with HoloLens 2 opens entirely new dimensions of creativity. Users see the real world enhanced with digital objects they can create\, modify\, and explore from various angles. Using hand gestures and voice commands\, they can change shape\, size\, color\, and position. Eye tracking ensures intuitive and smooth interaction. Teleoperation technology is used in hazardous environments and smart factories. Experience firsthand what it’s like to operate robotic systems of the future. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRobotic Checkers\nThis robotic cell plays a board game using a camera to monitor the state of play\, AI to analyze moves\, and a robotic arm to interact with visitors. Safe and user-friendly\, it’s a fun way to explore strategic and creative thinking\, and shows how collaboration between humans and machines can be both educational and entertaining. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRobobar – When a Robot Pours Your Drink\nRobotics is now entering spaces traditionally reserved for human interaction. At our Robobar\, a robot mixes and serves non-alcoholic drinks from start to finish – completely autonomously. Taste a drink made by a machine and consider where automation has real value\, and where human presence remains irreplaceable. Try the robotic bar and join the discussion on the present and future of automation. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRobot Pepper vol. 2\nAt this year’s Researchers’ Night\, we’ll be showcasing the humanoid robot Pepper with a range of new and entertaining features. Pepper can now mimic animals\, perform funny skits\, and interactively engage with visitors. Thanks to newly integrated vision models\, he can also describe the world around him and generate or edit images on his display based on what he sees. Visitors can look forward to even more engaging and playful demonstrations of his capabilities. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAutonomous Pallet Truck – Wealth of Industry\nAn autonomous robot that can locate\, pick up\, and transport a pallet of bricks – no joystick\, no human operator. It runs fully automatically using advanced localization and path planning. This year\, we’ll showcase an improved version of the robot presented last year. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdvanced Production Control\nLearn how the PyMES system helps protect and efficiently use one of our most valuable resources – nature. PyMES controls processes that require flexibility and real-time responsiveness – crucial for repairs\, retrofitting\, and recycling of older products. Originally developed for retrofitting used electric car batteries\, it extends their lifespan and reduces the need for new raw materials. You can try it out using a Fischertechnik model. See how technology can shift our understanding of wealth – from physical resources to smart\, sustainable management of what we already have. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCTU Space Research: Rockets\nThe CTU Space Research student team will present scientific rockets built across CTU – including Illustria\, the largest civilian rocket in the Czech Republic.
