Many congratulations to the team of RCMT FEE CTU in Prague for their great collaboration with industry partners! It is inspiring to see how the RICAIP state-of-the-art infrastructure at the RICAIP Testbed in Prague, part of the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics, and Cybernetics (CIIRC), has been pivotal in advancing the ROBOPROX R&D challenges. This partnership is pushing the boundaries of large-scale 3D printing and additive manufacturing.
As part of the ROBOPROX project, which focuses (not only) on the control of complex robotic structures for additive manufacturing and large-scale 3D printing, Michal Rytíř and the team from RCMT FEE CTU, in collaboration with CEAD Group, have achieved significant milestones. They recently tested a large-scale 3D print of CEAD’s model, showcasing the potential of advanced 3D printing technology.
Among their accomplishments, the team successfully:
- Tested the process parameters of a new material, Dahltram® T-100GF by Airtech Advanced Materials Group.
- Fine-tuned the robot’s control system to handle workpieces with changing toolpaths in every layer.
- Optimized the robot’s control system to ensure high-quality prints.
This collaboration highlights the dedication and expertise of all partners involved. CEAD Group has been instrumental in providing consultations on extruder settings, ensuring seamless hardware integration. Together with Airtech, they have focused on optimizing the printing process and setting up the material parameters for the best printing outcomes.
We look forward to further advancements and continued collaboration in the field of large-scale 3D printing and additive manufacturing. Stay tuned for more updates and breakthroughs from the RICAIP Testbed in Prague and the talented teams driving these innovations.
