Innovation Strategy

The “Science with and for Society” programme aims to address the European societal challenges tackled by Horizon 2020, building capacities and developing innovative ways of connecting science to society. Its specific objective is to build effective cooperation between science and society, to recruit new talent for science and to pair scientific excellence with social awareness and responsibility.  The key action of the “Science with and for Society” objective is responsible research and innovation.

Responsible Research

Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) is an inclusive approach to research and innovation (R&I). It aims to ensure that societal actors (researchers, citizens, policymakers, business, third sector organisations etc.) work together during the whole research and innovation process.
RICAIP aims to incorporate RRI principles and tools into all stages of research and innovation. All thanks to its open structure, focus on cross-disciplinarity and adherence to best practices available in the RICAIP partnership.

Scientific Results

The RICAIP Centre has been established as a platform enhancing the scientific environment for sharing the scientific capacities and research infrastructure in terms of technology and HR. It sets the ground for future research projects. The own scientific results will arise from these future involvements in collaborative projects and activities. It is important to outline the scientific focus of RICAIP for better positioning of the dissemination activities. Both with reference to the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda for RICAIP and also the Business Plan.

Scientific Publications & Research Data

Direct project results
The scientific results will be delivered in two use cases and demonstrators.

Future results
The publication of scientific outputs in an academic context is one of RICAIP’s main targets. The scientific papers published or presented in highly rated scientific journals and conferences will result from future projects.
