3rd Annual Construction Hackathon

The 3rd Annual Construction Hackathon, organized by the National Center for Construction 4.0 (Národní centrum Stavebnictví 4.0), is back in Brno at Festival of Architecture! Students from top Czech universities will tackle the challenge of “Building without blueprints / Paperless”, exploring faster decisions, fewer errors, and maximum efficiency in construction. RICAIP proudly supports this event to highlight how modern technologies can improve construction, urban development, and smart cities. By partnering with the hackathon, we help students push the boundaries of creativity, innovation, and problem-solving in construction.
Participants are encouraged to address the current challenges of affordable and sustainable housing, using advanced digital tools and modern construction methods. Key areas include:
- BIM and data-driven design
- Parametric and modular systems
- Prefabrication and automation
- Sustainable materials and construction solutions
- Efficient design, production, and building processes
The competition aims to inspire Czech construction to experiment with new technologies, embrace innovation, and bring fresh ideas for the future of housing.
Awards and Tools
- Grand Prize: 3D printer Prusa CORE One+
- Each team will also have access to a 3D printer during the competition to test and create their construction solutions.
