How should you plan your visit to the booth of the National Centre for Industry 4.0 and its partners at the International Engineering Fair in Brno? Whether you’re interested in immersive experiences and discovery or focused on addressing specific business matters or learning something new, you’re in the right place. From October 8 to 11, you can spend hours or even days at booth 220 in Hall F, spread over 300 square meters, customizing your program to suit your needs. Experts from RICAIP Testbed Prague, KUKA, Siemens, Česká spořitelna, Smart Informatics, T-Mobile, DEL, Deprag, and EIT Manufacturing have prepared an extensive program: from technological solutions and applications, expert consultations including private and project financing, to specialized workshops and presentations on the digital stage.
Better with Technology
Come see what Industry 4.0 looks like in practice. Applications focused on efficiency and sustainability will be showcased, such as a robotic cell for flexible modular production. All communication between devices is carried out through a fast and secure private 5G network. Luboš Lukasík, Director of the Corporate and Public Administration Division at T-Mobile, explains: “Digitalization is a key element in increasing the competitiveness of Czech industry. 5G networks provide technological solutions that allow companies to transition to more flexible and efficient manufacturing processes, which is crucial for keeping up with global trends. Collaborations like this one at the International Engineering Fair give us the opportunity to demonstrate how modern technologies can help businesses grow and innovate, for example, by enabling effective management and oversight of the entire production process.”
The exhibition also focuses on collecting data from older machines or a large number of different sensors. Using an original modular 5G IoT system, we collect energy consumption data from all showcased devices and integrate them into a unified data platform and control system. This data and technological integration, including live data displays, will be clearly demonstrated on the “Technology Wall.” Attention is also given to security, the integration of IT and OT, and solutions for intralogistics, such as autonomous mobile platforms, robotic screwdriving, and remote maintenance.
Better with the Right Partners
Finding the right partners for your project is key to success. The advantage of the joint booth and long-term collaboration among the partners offers customers benefits that individual suppliers could provide only with difficulty or not at all. A better solution can be found in just one meeting, where you can consult specific or general problems with experts from multiple fields and find optimal solutions, including project support, strategic planning, sustainable financing, or the final realization of your project. We will help you connect knowledge and expertise from various areas and guide you through the world of innovation. Representatives from the National Centre for Industry 4.0, RICAIP Testbed Prague, KUKA, Siemens, Česká spořitelna, Smart Informatics, T-Mobile, DEL, Deprag, and EIT Manufacturing will welcome you at the booth.
Better with Workshops
Explore the world of the industrial metaverse, flexible manufacturing, 3D printing, 5G IoT, or digital twins in interactive mini-workshops led by experts directly at the booth. These expert workshops are designed for managers, technical staff, and technology developers responsible for production planning and optimization. Don’t forget to register for your spot—workshops are free, but space is limited.
Better with DigiStage
A key part of the Digital Factory 2.0 at MSV is the DigiStage, where we’ve prepared an extensive expert program, from case studies and expert presentations to strategic discussions and panels. You can follow the program on-site in Hall F or online from Tuesday to Thursday. Topics will include data management, sustainability and energy management, efficient robotics, 5G networks, cybersecurity, new business models, innovation financing, collaboration with industrial testbeds, and support for innovative startups.
Detailed programs and information can be found here, where you can also follow the event online.
Better with the Industry 4.0 Publication
In mid-September, a brand-new strategic publication by the National Centre for Industry 4.0 ecosystem was released, titled “Industry 4.0 – The Foundation for the Economic Transformation of the Czech Republic,” edited by Vladimír Mařík from the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics, and Cybernetics (CIIRC CTU) in Prague and Robert Keil from NCP 4.0. This is the only publication on the Czech market that offers a comprehensive view of Industry 4.0, from strategy and technology to legal issues, education, and the labor market. Its pragmatic approach is key, as the authors look at the subject from the perspective of leaders striving for the successful transformation of Czech industry through innovation.
“The National Centre for Industry 4.0 remains committed to helping transform Czech industry and the economy. Industry 4.0 is a key tool for long-term competitiveness based on innovation. That’s why we’re partnering with key experts and publishing the book, and why we’re showcasing innovative solutions at the fair,” says Robert Keil, Director of the National Centre for Industry 4.0.
The publication will be presented not only at the General Assembly of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic but also during a panel discussion on DigiStage. Speakers include Jiří Holoubek (Confederation of Industry and Transport), Vladimír Mařík (CIIRC CTU), František Podzimek, and Miroslava Kopicová (National Education Fund).
Better with Fun
See for yourself how robots can efficiently assist in areas such as gastronomy at our robotic bar. It’s fully automated, capable of serving four beers at once, and equipped with artificial intelligence to adapt to its environment and optimize energy consumption.
“It might seem that pouring a beer isn’t that complicated. But it’s quite the opposite,” explains Pavel Burget, Director of the RICAIP Testbed Prague, adding that developing the robotic bar is no joke. “We monitor the beer pouring process with a camera and measure the flow of beer. We also use the weight of the poured cup for neural network training. The weight varies depending on the beer-to-foam ratio. Other variables, like beer temperature or ambient temperature, also play a role. We’ve managed to fine-tune the model so that the pouring is reliable, and the customer always gets the right amount. The robotic bar can operate autonomously without specialized staff, which has great potential for commercial use,” Burget adds.
The robot dog is a fun companion, and with its smart video transmission backpack, it can assist not only in industry but also in rescue operations in difficult terrain or hazardous environments.
You can also dive into the world of the industrial metaverse, thanks to a robotic cell for handling operations. In an augmented and virtual reality environment, the metaverse connects the physical world of production with the digital environment.
Better with Podcasts
You can also listen to what technologies we’re presenting at the fair or what we’ll be discussing on the DigiStage while on your way to the fair, thanks to a podcast series we’ve prepared in collaboration with TV Elektrika. Get ready with insights from Radek Velebil (KUKA), Robert Keil (NCP 4.0), Jakub Kopecký (T-Mobile), Veronika Němcová (Siemens), Pavel Burget (RICAIP Testbed Prague), Petr Kulhavý (Deprag), Petr Musil (DEL), Jakub Jeřábek (Česká spořitelna), and Tomáš Veselý (Smart Informatics). The entire series is available on Spotify.
