RICAIP Seminar – “Towards environmental sustainability: Electrification Of Transmission System E-Trans”

March 19 | 13:30 14:30 UTC+1

RICAIP and ZeMA | Zentrum für Mechatronik und Automatisierungstechnik (Center for Mechatronics and Automation Technology GmbH) in Saarbrücken, Germany are pleased to invite you to an insightful lecture by Dr.- Ing. Bassem HICHRI – Head of R&D Projects and Project director at Carraro Lux-Tech R&D Centre in Luxembourg, member of the Carraro Group.

Venue: online via ZOOM (live-streamed on YouTube)

Who Should Attend:

  • Automotive and Industrial Engineers: Gain insights into cutting-edge electrified drivetrain technologies for medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Sustainability Advocates: Discover innovative solutions contributing to CO₂ emission reduction and environmental challenges.
  • Academics and Researchers: Explore collaborative opportunities in the fields of mechatronics, robotics, and e-mobility.
  • Industry Professionals: Learn about the latest advancements in e-transmissions and their applications in construction and agricultural machinery.

What You’ll Learn:

  • The role of electrified drivetrains in achieving environmental sustainability.
  • Innovations in e-transmission and e-transaxle systems for construction equipment and fully electrified tractors.
  • How Carraro Group is addressing European challenges by replacing internal combustion engines with electric machines for traction.

About the Speaker:

Dr.- Ing. Bassem HICHRI

Head of R&D Projects and Project Director
Carraro Lux-Tech R&D Centre in Luxembourg

Dr. Hichri holds a mechatronics engineer diploma and a PhD in Multi-Mobile Robotic Systems. He started his career in Automotive industry as test solution engineer and then he worked in academia as research scientist in topics related to industrial and mobile robots for stable manipulation and transport. He has an extensive experience in National and European projects proposals writing and funding acquiring for research projects in collaboration with industries. He occupied several positions in teaching robotics topics, and he contributed to supervising PhD researchers at the University of Luxembourg. A few years ago, he moved back to work in the industry as a senior project manager for R&D projects in collaboration with universities.
Actually, he is managing the R&D activities of the new research centre of Carraro Group in Luxembourg to develop commercial electrified drivetrains for OEMs of Medium and Heavy Duty Vehicles (MHDV) which contributes to the European challenges of reducing CO2 emissions and environmental challenges by providing solutions (mainly E-transmission and E-transaxles for Construction Equipment/vehicles and fully electrified tractors) based on the use of E-machines instead of Internal combustion engines for traction.
