As the end of 2025 approaches, it is the perfect moment to reflect on the many successes and positive moments that RICAIP partners have experienced this year, opening the door to new ideas and opportunities. Let us take a look together at the key highlights and achievements of our work in 2025 – from major milestones and technological innovations to the teamwork that continues to drive our shared goals forward.

Open days

DOD 2025: Industry 4.0 Open Day, 27 May 2025, Brno
RICAIP Testbed Brno at CEITEC BUT, in cooperation with the National Centre for Industry 4.0 (NCI4.0), hosted an open day presenting innovations, advanced technologies, and practical solutions for industry. The programme featured expert talks (full playlist on the NCI4.0 YT channel), guided testbed tours, and an exhibition area with partner booths.

CIIRC Tech Dating, 16 June 2025, Prague
An interactive event at CIIRC CTU, co-organised by EDIH CTU, AI-MATTERS, and other projects, opened the labs and RICAIP Testbed Prague, presenting more than 20 technology stations focused on AI, robotics, and automation. The programme began with the Open Innovation Breakfast, followed by presentations, guided tours, moderated panel and one-to-one discussions. Dozens of Czech companies, including startups, visited CIIRC CTU.
Industrial Fairs

Hannover Messe 2025, 31 March – 4 April 2025
RICAIP Testbed Prague made its debut at Hannover Messe 2025, one of the world’s leading industrial technology fairs. At the DFKI booth, RICAIP researchers presented a miniaturised flexible-production demonstrator combining AI, computer vision, collaborative robotics, and edge computing, integrated with a T-Mobile Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

MSV Brno International Engineering Fair 2025 – “United by Innovation“, 7 – 10 October 2025
The “United by Innovation” Digital Factory 2.0 exhibition brought together 11 partners in a 290 m² booth coordinated by NCI4.0. As the main technology partner, RICAIP Testbed Prague presented a dedicated RICAIP-branded section showcasing practical applications of AI, robotics, digitalisation, 5G, and modern technologies – from production automation to intralogistics, energy monitoring, and digital twins.
This created opportunities for more than 200 B2B meetings and discussions at the exhibition. In parallel, a four-day conference programme took place on the DigiStage, including a one-hour session showcasing the Prague–Brno–Ostrava testbed ecosystem with real examples of company collaborations framed by AI-MATTERS/TEF and the EDIHs.
Selected achievements

RICAIP teams have been quite busy in 2025! About 40 publications were published, while all teams worked hard on finalising and connecting RICAIP Use-Cases demonstrators.
RICAIP Testbed Prague, together with its partner AUMOVIO, developed a unique industrial system based on digital twin of a production line in NVIDIA Omniverse, integrating AI, camera systems, simulation, and control logic.

RICAIP Tenure Track position holder Martin Suda achieved a historic success at CASC2025, winning all eight competition categories with the Vampire automated theorem prover for the first time ever.
RICAIP Testbed Brno Researchers have received the IEEE-IES Electrical Machines Technical Committee Committee Prize Paper Award for their paper presented at the 50th IECON Conference.
RICAIP Testbed Prague has also inspired others abroad, serving as a flagship model for the new Mařík Institute of Informatics, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Cybernetics (MICARC) inaugurated at the NIMS University in Jaipur, India.
Significant Visits

Synergies with EDIHs and TEF AI-MATTERS

The RICAIP centre and its teams continue their progress and are able to expand RICAIP’s physical, software and knowledge-based infrastructure by cooperating with an increased number of entities. The main initiatives involved are EDIHs and AI-MATTERS/ TEF, which directly facilitate the provision of services to SMEs. Have a look at SMAUT user story, a successful example of service provided through AI-MATTERS/ TEF by the RICAIP Testbed Prague in the area of autonomous driving of robotic movers. RICAIP Testbed Brno provided support to the Czech startup Neuron Soundware in AI-based sound analysis to improve the accuracy of predicting the lifespan of industrial equipment.
RICAIP was presented together with EDIHs and AI-MATTERS/ TEF in several conferences and fairs, such as the Fenomen Zlin Conference or the AI Festival organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Both RICAIP Testbed Prague and RICAIP Testbed Brno contributed to a rich programme of the Week for Digital Czechia, supported by the Office of the Czech Government. Let’s recall, for example, the talks of Prof. Vladimír Mařík, Pavel Burget or Pavel Hradecký in the rich programme of the week organised by EDIH CTU in the RICAIP Testbed Prague.
Last but not least

- Pavel Burget was a guest on the Forbes BrandVoice Podcast
- Tilman Becker once again chaired the jury for the 10th edition of the Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic competition
- RICAIP celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science through a special spotlight on the RICAIP Women campaign around our ecosystem – you can read their stories on our website.
- We also shared what some of our colleagues from the RICAIP Testbed Prague are currently working on – Tomáš, Varun and Serhii were featured on our LinkedIn
- And finally, do not miss browsing through the RICAIP Annual Report 2024 to get an overview of the RICAIP concept, context, objectives and progress we have made.
