The second annual Global Goals Summit, organized by the Association of Social Responsibility (A-SCR) and DVTV, took place on 21 March 2024 at the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC CTU) in Prague. The event focused on the theme of sustainability and brought together inspiring figures from business, politics, the non-profit sector, and the public sphere. The central theme and slogan of the event was “Hear our voices”. RICAIP is proud to be a supporter and partner of the event.
The diverse program featured more than 30 speakers who addressed a wide range of topics, including food waste, sustainability in football, diversity, equality and inclusion, innovation and technology, and active citizenship. Speakers included well-known and inspiring figures such as food blogger Lukáš Hejlík, musician Tomáš Klus, writer Barbara Nesvadbová, footballer Patrik Le Giang, fashion futurist Nataliya Grimberg, or Hana Kovářová, Communication Director of Komerční banka Group, among many others.
One of the highlights of the program in the section focusing on artificial intelligence and technology was a conversation between Petr Kadera, Head of the Intelligent Systems for Industry department at CIIRC CTU, who contributes to RICAIP with a number of solutions in the area of Smart Grid and optimization of production and energy management, and Robert Kiml, Vice President of Production at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Czech Republic.
The discussion focused on innovation and technology in the automotive industry, sustainability, ESG, and the opportunities provided by Industry 4.0, as well as hydrogen as a fuel of the future.
Petr Kadera emphasized the importance of cooperation between industry and universities, and the use of AI and modern technologies for building a better future. He also mentioned the topic of further use of electric car batteries through automated retrofitting based on the principles of flexible manufacturing.
“Thanks to AI, we can disassemble a product at the end of its life and reuse it. Instead of mass-producing new products, we can use the original product to its maximum and create a new product.”
